Fruit Soap (Options are Raspberry and Avocado)

These soaps have actual fruit blended into the them.  The brown one has raspberries and the green one has avocado.

We made them using a the cold process technique.  In this process various oils and additives are mixed with sodium hydroxide (lye).  There is a strong reaction that occurs at the molecular level,  The process is called saponification.  Saponification is the chemical reaction between a fat or oil (triglyceride) and a strong base (alkali) to produce glycerol and salts of fatty acids, commonly known as soap.  After mixing, the solution is poured into molds and cured for a month.

It is an excellent moisturizer, gentle with a good lather.  The Avocado is jasmine scented and the Raspberry is rose scented.
