Meandering Flowers is the 4.25" diameter polymer clay bowl.
Millefiori is a Thousand Flowers in Italian. Originally it was a glass making art form . A rod of glass is made with an attractive composition inserted through the length of the rod. When the glass rod is heated, it become ductile. The rod is then stretched, the diameter becomes small yet still retains the detailed composition The rod is then sliced and the slices are used in other compositions.
The medieval glass makers of Murano, an island in Italy, were forbidden to leave the island lest the secrets of its manufacture become known to competitors. A similar technique is used in polymer clay.
If you look at the bowl note how the composition is a mix of symmetric and non-symmetric design elements.

Is Polymer Clay Safe?
- All the brands of polymer clay used in our artwork have been tested and are certified to be non-toxic when used as directed.
- Manufacturers cannot certify their material for making food utensils, so polymer clay is not certified to be used for food contact.
- Non-toxic plasticizers used.
- Polymer clay is vinyl, and is therefore similar to the material used to make beach balls, vinyl tablecloths, aquarium tubing, and baby dolls.
We recommend put only wrapped treats in the bowl and if it does get dirty hand wash it with a mild dish washing soap.
